| P3P Privacy Policy Generator |
![]() ![]() |
|
15/07/05 - The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has come up with a Web standard known as P3P - Platform for Privacy Preferences.
It demands that websites specify a privacy policy in an easily retrievable manner.
The privacy policy of a website describes how it handles personal information about its users.
P3P-enabled websites make this information available in a standard, machine-readable format.
P3P-enabled browsers like Internet Explorer can "read" this information automatically and display it to the user.
(Select View » Privacy Report from the menu.)
P3P enhances user control by putting privacy policies where users can find them, in a form users can understand, and, most importantly, enables users to act on what they see.

| Dictionary of Indian English |
![]() ![]() |
India is a land of great diversity.
Kerala is about as different from Tamil Nadu as France is from Britain.
Yet, we move on, in part thanks to the English language.
Over several decades, the language has acquired a unique flavour of its own in the country.
People like to call it "Indian English"; sometimes proudly and sometimes derisively.
Indian English is of course not truly a different language.
And, there is absolutely no need create a separate standard for it.
Yet, one often finds that an Oxford or Webster's dictionary is inadequate or incorrect when dealing with certain words or phrases that have changed on the Indian soil.
The Dictionary of Indian English (DIE) hopes to provide a ready reference for such words and phrases.
However, this dictionary does not contain English words that have Indian origins but are now part of standard English.

| W3 Awards - Weird & Wacky Website Awards |
![]() ![]() |
|
After a long but fruitless search for an award for my web log Moral Volcano, I decided to institute my own awards site. It is available at www.W3Awards.co.nr. If you have website and need an award, this one's for you. There is no submission, no review, and no declaration of results. Choose a category (I have chosen the category "DEAD" for my award, as I had abandoned the web log), generate the HTML code, copy-paste it in your web pages or your blog template and your fake award is ready.
